This product is the dried ear of Morus alba L. From April to June, the fruits are harvested when they turn red, dried in the sun, or slightly steamed and dried in the sun.
[character] this product is a Ficus carinatus, which is composed of most small achenes. It is oblong, 1 ~ 2cm long, 0.5 ~ 0.8cm in diameter. It is yellowish brown, brownish red or dark purple, with short inflorescence stems. The achene is ovoid, slightly flat, about 2mm long and 1mm wide, with 4 fleshy tepals outside. It is slightly sour and sweet.
[identification] the powder of this product is red purple. Endocarp stone cells are patchy, light yellow, irregular polygonal on the surface, deep wavy bending of the vertical wall, wall thickness, pore grooves and pits are obvious. The endocarp contains crystalline cells in sheets, and each cell contains calcium oxalate crystals with a diameter of 7-11 μ M. the perianth parenchyma cells are filled with purplish red or brownish red pigment blocks. The non glandular hairs are single-cell, mostly broken, of different lengths, with a diameter of 12-45 μ M. some feet are swollen. Calcium oxalate cluster crystals are scattered or exist in the perianth parenchyma cells, with a diameter of 3-22 μ M. the seed coat epidermal cells are yellowish brown, and the surface appears rectangular or polygonal, with a diameter of 7-18 μ M. the vertical wall is Beaded thickened, and the pore groove is obvious.
[inspection] the moisture content shall not exceed 18.0% (the second method of general rule 0832).
The total ash content shall not exceed 12.0% (general rule 2302).
[extract] according to the hot leaching method under the alcohol soluble extract determination method (general rule 2201), 85% ethanol shall be used as solvent, which shall not be less than 15.0%.

2、 Chemical constituents of mulberry
