This product is the dry aboveground part of Lycopus lucidus turcz. var. hirtus Regel, a seedling of the Labiatae plant. The stems and leaves are harvested and dried in summer and autumn when they are luxuriant.
[character] the stem of this product is square columnar, less branched, with shallow longitudinal grooves on all sides, 50 ~ 100cm long and 0.2 ~ 0.6cm in diameter; the surface is yellowish green or purplish, with obvious purple at the nodes and white hairs; It is crispy, with yellowish white section and hollow pulp. ; The leaves are mostly wrinkled and flattened to be lanceolate or oblong, with a length of 5-10cm; the upper surface is dark green or dark green, the lower surface is grayish green, densely glandular dots, and both sides have short hairs; Apex pointed, base tapering, margin serrate. 1. the whole grass contains sugars: glucose, galactose, lycoose, stachyose, raffinose, sucrose, laceroic acid,Betulinic acid(betulinic acid),Ursolic acid(ursolic acid),β - sitosterol。

3、 Pharmacological action of Eupatorium adenophorum
The whole herb preparation has cardiotonic effect. Two kinds of water extracts of Eupatorium adenophorum, sweet potato seedlings and whole Eupatorium pilosum, 2g/kg intraperitoneal injection, can significantly improve the microcirculation disorder of rabbits with blood stasis caused by simulated weightlessness in space flight. 4g/kg gavage for 4G days also has a good effect on improving the abnormal Hemorheology of rabbits, so that the blood viscosity, fibrinogen content and erythrocyte aggregation index are lower than those of the control group.
