This product is the dried fleshy scale leaves of Lilium lancifolium thunb., Lilium brownii f.e.brown var.viridulum baker or Lilium pumilum dc. Excavate in autumn, wash, peel the scales and leaves, scald them in boiling water and dry them.Baihe

The surface is yellowish white to light brownish yellow, some are slightly purple, and there are several vertical parallel white vascular bundles. The top is slightly pointed, the base is wide, the edge is thin, microwave like, and slightly inward curved. . The breath is slight, and the taste is slightly bitter.
[identification] take 1g of this product powder, add 10ml of methanol, sonicate for 20 minutes, filter, and concentrate the filtrate to 1ml as the test solution. Another 1g of Lilium reference medicinal material was taken, and the reference medicinal material solution was prepared by the same method. 3、 Pharmacological action of Lily
1. antitussive and expectorant effect 1.1. antitussive effect mice were treated with SO2 induced cough method to observe its antitussive effect. The results are shown in Table 2. All have obvious antitussive effects.
1.2. expectorant effect phenol red colorimetry was used. The trachea was finally rinsed with 0.5mlnahco3. The absorbance was measured at 546nm, and the amount of phenol red discharged from the trachea was calculated from the phenol red standard curve. The results are shown in Table 3. All have significant expectorant effects.

Results Lily had a significant protective effect on adrenal cortical failure (p< 0.001).
3.4. it also has a significant inhibitory effect on the delayed allergic reaction induced by 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene (DNCB) in mice.
