Suihuashan biflavone(amentoflavone, AF), also known as amantol biflavone, is a polyphenol compound that widely exists in Selaginella in nature. It was first isolated by okigawa in 1971. With the deepening of the research on plant drug monomers at home and abroad, the biological activities of biflavones of Taxodium spicatum in anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, anti radiation, free radical scavenging and neuroprotection have attracted more and more attention.
Originally developed by Estee Lauder scientists and Robert Anton of the University of Strasbourg in France, it is the most effective anti irritant substance, which can alleviate and soothe the reddened skin in real time, inhibit other irritant reactions and prevent more serious injuries. At the same time, it has the effect of anti lipid peroxidation and antibacterial, can improve blood circulation and control dermatitis.
It is reported that the biflavonoids of suihuashan is a non competitive inhibitor of protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B (PTP1B), and PTP1B can dephosphorize insulin receptor and insulin receptor substrate. Its overexpression will inhibit insulin signal transduction and lead to insulin resistance. Moreover, the biflavonoids can inhibit the activity of α - glucosidase, suggesting that it may have some intervention effect on glucose metabolism.
Suihuashan biflavone can significantly improve the disorder of glucose and lipid metabolism in diabetic mice, promote insulin secretion and enhance the function of islet β cells. At the same time, the biflavones of suihuashan have antioxidant effect. Sequoia biflavones may play a hypoglycemic role by activating pi3k/aktsignaling pathway, promoting glucose transport, regulating the activity of glucose metabolism enzymes, thereby improving the disorder of glucose and lipid metabolism, increasing insulin sensitivity.
