Eriodictyol is a bitter-masking flavanones, an anthocyanin extracted from Herba Santa (Eriodictyon californicum) a plant growing in America.[1] Eriodictyol is one of the 4 flavanones identified by Symrise in this plant eliciting taste-modifying properties: homoeriodictyol, its sodium salt and sterubin.[2]
Eriodictyol was also found in the Lemon Fruit, the twigs of Millettia duchesnei [3], in Eupatorium arnottianum[4] and one of its glycoside in rose hips (Rosa canina).[5] References:
